ANNOTATION

Most of the complex systems can be described using several nonlinear variables – the parameters of the equa-tion. In the most important areas of the space of parameters, where the number or stability of the solutions varies, the system can be described using the same relations. This requires a local analysis of the behavior of the system.

In this paper the method of quasi-static non-equilibrium potential functions is implemented, for which the regions are the gross regional product and the monetary incomes of the population of the region. The appli-cation of this method has allowed to describe their nonlinear interaction with other indicators, in particular, such as capital investment, the cost of carrying out scientific and scientific works, and the costs of innovation activities of industrial enterprises.

Also, the method of the diagram analysis of the current states of the research object was used to find the points of bifurcation in the process of self-organization of the regional socio-economic system. With this method it was possible to identify the current state of the economy of the western regions of Ukraine accord-ing to the diagrams.

The statistical data, that participated in the analysis process, were investigated both in full and in parts. Decomposition was carried out in accordance with the principle of finding local maxima and minima, the essence of which is to study the change in the tendency of the system’s behavior on small interval intervals. In this regard, the moment of change of the trend was recorded, which is the beginning of a new interval. As a result, data intervals of different durations were formed. Thus, a more precise approximation of the model of experimental data on each of the sections of the partition was provided.
