Features of the competitive economic potential of an enterprise

ANNOTATION

The research considers the main features of performance of the enterprise’s economic potential (organizational, managerial, personnel (characterizing knowledge, experience and skills of emploeeys), market, technical, innovative, economic, and environmental). It is emphasized that the enterprise is able to form, disclose, develop and use its economic potential only for itself in relevant socio-economic conditions, that is, the enterprise’s economic potential should be aimed at strengthening competitive positions, which depend on the key success factors, namely, knowledge, skills, mobility, innovative technologies, marketing organization, diversification of production and product range. The enterprise’s economic potential is a real capacity to carry out targeted industrial and economic activities, consistent with the enterprise development strategy. Production, personnel, information, investment and innovation potentials and a development strategy are highlighted among the structural components of the enterprise’’s economic potential. The enterprise functioning in the face of changes is closely linked to the competencies development of the enterprise itself. The enterprise’s capabilities should be considered as the implemetation of consistent industrial and economic activities and the capacities, manifested in the features of the economic potential. The very implementation of the possibilities is carried out through the creation of the enterprise values that are specified in the final results of the activity. The key enterprise competencies, in particular, external and internal relations, image, innovation, own sources of competitive advantage, are highlighted in the work. Attention is paid to its own sources of competitive advantage, which contribute to the enterprise’s economic success and long-term development. The author studies the competitive policy of the state and its impact on the economic potential of the enterprise.It is affirmed that the diagnosis of the structure and use of the enterprise’s economic potential makes it possible to identify the reserves for building it up, that is, to determine the set of interrelated, coordinated industrial and economic measures that correspond to the enterprise’s development strategy.
