ANNOTATION

The issue of agro-tourism clusters formation is considered in Ukraine generally and in Lviv region particularly. It is determined that in our country the tourism industry is successfully developing. However, the study of foreign experience has shown that for sustainable development trends and higher economic results of agro-tourism it is necessary to transfer the industry to performing in the conditions of cooperation or clustering.

It has been established that the process of tourist clustering in agriculture has a positive effect on the economy of the country, as well as, a particular region, united territorial community or village. Clusters cannot be created without the support of state authorities and local self-government bodies. To create a cluster, it is necessary to unite companies in a certain area, manufacturers, educational and research institutions, and other related organizations that interact horizontally and vertically.

Four stages of cluster development are identified: embryo, origin, development and growth. Moreover, presence of the so-called diamond of mutual interests is important for agricultural cluster successful functioning. All members of the agricultural cluster should participate in its work to contribute and increase profits. The work proposes stages of development of the agro-ecotourism cluster model for Lviv region on the basis of basic models of agro-tourism development in the world.

The activities of the agro-tourism cluster «GorboGory», operated in Lviv region, is considered in the research. The stages of its formation, current conditions of activities and short-term prospects of development are described, as well as its aim, goals and objectives are determined.

Thanks to the financial support from the state and local authorities, as well as the participants’ initiatives at the horizontal and vertical levels, the tourism forms of agro-clustering contribute to the tourism development in particular and agriculture in general.
