ANNOTATION
This article explores the role of economic potential in enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in the face of contemporary challenges. It defines the essence of economic potential and its main components, which include production, financial, labor, innovation, and management potentials. The analysis addresses the impact of globalization, economic instability, military conflicts, climate change, and labor shortages on the agricultural sector's performance. It is established that effective use of economic potential is crucial for increasing productivity, lowering production costs, and strengthening the market positions of enterprises both domestically and internationally. The agricultural sector significantly contributes to the national economy, ensuring food security and representing a substantial portion of the country's GDP. Given the modern economic challenges posed by globalization, climate change, and war, the efficient utilization of agricultural enterprises' economic potential has become increasingly important. High competitiveness in this sector can be achieved only through the rational use of resources and the adoption of innovative technologies.
Before formulating policies to enhance resilience and strengthen the competitiveness of domestic agricultural enterprises, it is essential to identify and understand the specific problems and obstacles that have intensified due to ongoing war, leading to diminished resilience and negative impacts on competitive positions.
The article proposes several key directions for improving the efficiency of economic potential utilization: modernizing production processes, optimizing financial resources, developing human capital, diversifying production and sales markets, and actively engaging in public-private partnerships. It is demonstrated that adapting enterprises to current challenges through the integration of innovative technologies and effective strategic planning will enhance their competitiveness and ensure the sustainable development of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
