The objective of the research presented in this article was to identify key issues related to waste generation in both production processes and everyday human activities, and to formulate recommendations for effective waste management aligned with the principles of a circular economy. To achieve this objective, several tasks were undertaken during the research: systematization and generalization of information regarding the nature and types of waste, along with their sources and classifications; systematization and generalization of information concerning the essence of rational waste management and its primary directions; analysis of international experiences in addressing the challenges of effective waste management; justification of the main directions for rational waste utilization. The research outcomes are characterized by scientific innovation and originality, stemming from the author's approach to defining the research's purpose and priorities, as well as shaping the content of the article. The results obtained hold practical significance and are likely to interest professionals in this field. Within this context, waste utilization refers to the application, processing, and management of waste, which encompasses various approaches and methods tailored to different groups and types of waste, as well as the capabilities of involved parties - such as manufacturers, households, and waste collection companies. Specifically, waste management should be viewed as a comprehensive concept that includes a variety of processes related to the collection, transportation, and processing of waste, as well as the subsequent management of waste storage sites and activities associated with waste disposal. The information necessary for conducting this study was gathered from accessible sources, including operational publications on the nature, causes, and dynamics of the issues investigated, along with available information platforms.
