THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY

ANNOTATION

The influence of social responsibility on the sustainability of business development in the modern global economic context is considered. The benefits that an enterprise and society receive when implementing social responsibility are presented. Modern enterprises are increasingly realizing that social responsibility is becoming an important component, as it enables them not only to solve internal corporate tasks but also to have a positive impact on society and the environment. It is indicated that social responsibility in business is manifested through participation in global initiatives to support sustainable development, reduce inequality, and combat corruption. Approaches to defining social responsibility are analyzed, alongside examples of successful practices in corporate social responsibility that have led to positive results in the sphere of sustainable development. It has been proven that by improving cooperation with the public, stakeholders, investors, and authorities significantly impacts the ability of domestic and foreign companies to achieve successful development and competitiveness, as well as to increase market share and build a positive company image. The correlation between reputation and the social responsibility of a company is explored, establishing that the effective implementation of social responsibility strategies contributes to enhancing the company's reputation and sustainability. Internal and external directions of business social responsibility are proposed. The influence of the military actions in Ukraine on the corporate social responsibility policy is analyzed, revealing that socially responsible companies focus on charity and volunteering.
